This exclusive membership is tailored for established family offices and ultra-high-net-worth families that have or are seeking to implement organized “family office equivalent” structures and best practices that support multigenerational success.

Criteria

Minimum Net Worth

Typically exceeding $100 million AUM, with well-structured assets reflecting a high level of financial standing and wealth management.

Family Office Structure

Either a formal family office is equivalent or in place or in the process of being established to oversee and manage family wealth.

Investment Portfolio Diversity

Substantial investments across multiple asset classes, demonstrating a diversified and sophisticated approach to portfolio management.

Legacy Planning

Interest in long-term wealth preservation and intergenerational wealth transfer, ensuring assets endure and grow across generations.

Networing Needs

Seeking peer interactions with similar wealth and interest brackets for insights and opportunities that foster meaningful connections.

Philanthropic Engagement

While not required, many of our members prioritize active participation in philanthropy or the desire to develop a philanthropic mindset.

You must demonstrate a clear trajectory towards significant wealth accumulation and a firm commitment to establishing a family office or equivalent structure.

Some degree of financial literacy or a genuine willingness to learn, with openness to expanding knowledge across all key areas of wealth management.

Wealth Management Needs

Seeking information and education relating to wealth protection, tax strategies, and estate planning to help members better manage and preserve assets.

Professional Growth

In pursuit of professional development and wealth management education, with a clear goal of expanding expertise and advancing personal financial acumen.

Networking Aspirations

Looking to connect with like-minded peers and mentors for growth and opportunity sharing, fostering relationships that support long-term financial development.

Innovator Membership

The FOA Innovator membership is designed for companies at the forefront of innovation, from the seed stage to series C and beyond.  This membership focuses on fostering long-term relationships with family offices, emphasizing the importance of early and consistent interaction, thought leadership, and the mutual exchange of value within FOA.

Criteria

Invitation

You must be invited by an existing FOA member who has previously invested in the company, or be approved through our formal application process and reference check.

Demonstrated Innovation

Provide evidence of your company's innovative approach, such as patents, awards, industry recognition, or product launches that have successfully disrupted the market.

Scalability and Growth Potential

Showcase your company's potential for scalability and sustained growth, including clear evidence of market traction, customer acquisition, and defined expansion strategies.

Participation

Active participation in the FOA monthly innovator web meetings, discussion forums, and other FOA activities and networking events is made available to innovator members.

Alignment with FOA Values

Demonstrate how your company's mission and values align with those of the FOA community through ethical business practices, social responsibility, and long-term sustainability.

Track Record of Collaboration

Highlight past collaborations with family offices, demonstrating your ability to effectively engage with SFOs and deliver value through mutual cooperation and strategic alliances.
